An Exclusive Mental Health Treatment Facility for First Responders

VALOR STATION-AUGUSTA understands that the duty of first responders exposes them to a variety of traumatic scenarios oftentimes daily. Because of this we know that 35% of First Responders will develop mental health conditions and/or other co-occurring conditions, including substance use/addiction, during their lifetime as compared to only 20% of individuals in the general population. It is the mission of VALOR STATION-AUGUSTA to provide treatment targeted to individuals in the public safety career field who have been diagnosed with mental health conditions and/or substance abuse stemming from exposure to traumatic incidents while serving their communities. Services available are an Intensive Outpatient Program and a Partial Hospitalization Program where individuals are empowered to make decisions about their care, develop, and implement coping skills that will allow them to participate fully in their recovery resulting in a return to duty as well as an enhanced quality of life. VALOR STATION-AUGUSTA is the first 501c3 nonprofit treatment facility to provide specialized care tailored to all actively employed First Responders.

CALL TO ACTION

First Responders dutifully serve our communities. They are the first to arrive and provide assistance at the scene of an emergency. First Responders are responsible for the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence, and the environment and utilize their specialized skills to provide immediate support services during prevention, response, and recovery operations. Due to the nature of this work, First Responders may develop substance abuse disorders and co-occurring mental health issues stemming from exposure to traumatic incidents.

VALOR STATION-AUGUSTA needs your SUPPORT to serve our deserving First Responders.

“The only thing that makes battle psychologically tolerable is the brotherhood among soldiers…

You need each other to get by.”
